Exploring Split

If you're looking for a fantastic and fabulous restaurant for dinnertime in Split, I can most highly recommend this one: Dvor. Found via Trip Advisor as the top restaurants in Split according to users, we needed to head there for one evening and surely didn't regret it. It isn't quite in the city centre but by the ocean bay and it is worth the little distance. The fact is that sometimes or actually always you do find these gems somewhere else than at the main tourist streets, after a little search. At Dvor I had the best asparagus/lamb risotto that I've ever tried! This restaurants price class is a bit above average Split restaurant prices but definitely not expensive considering the food quality (close to fine dining standards) and well........the view. For those in Finland who usually pay 90€ for one person at fine dining restaurants, this 45€ total price was not bad I can say.

This restaurant was by far one of the most romantic places I've ever spent time at and it would perfectly suite also as a wedding venue.

//Jos etsit Splitissä loistavaa ravintolaa illallisaikaan, antaisin tässä vaiheessa lämpimimmät suositteluni tälle ravintolalle nimeltään Dvor. Ravintolasta saimme tietää Trip Advisorin kautta kun se oli listattuna parhaiden ravintoloiden joukkoon käyttäjien keskuudessa ja no, ei mikään ihme lainkaan. Ravintola ei sijaitse ihan keskustan hälinässä vaan ennemminkin hieman jemmassa (ympärillä vieressä ei ole oikeastaan muita ravintoloita) mutta tämän etsiminen ja löytäminen on kyllä työn arvoista. Söin itse siellä elämäni parhaimman parsa/lammasrisoton joka tarjoiltiin autenttisesti padassa kannen alla haudutettuna. Hintaluokka oli kenties hieman Splitin  yleisiä ravintolahintoja korkeammalla, mutta ei missään nimessä kallis Suomen fine dining hintoihin verrattuna (oma koko loppulasku oli noin 45€). Tässä maksat siis täydellisestä näkymästä sen täydellisen palvelun sekä ruoan päälle.

Lisäksi tämä ravintola oli miljööltään ehdottomasti yksiä romanttisimpia missä olen ikinä käynyt; sanoisin että tämä on häillekin aivan täydellinen tai vähintään vihkiäisille :)

Although the packaging layout could have been something else but can't find words to describe the deliciousness of this homemade ice cream!! If you see these kiosks in Split, without feeling guilt you should by all means pop in and have a scoop or three!

My stomach is very sensitive, already in Finland and without a doubt abroad, so it didn't quite like the fact that this pina colada had been staying in sun whilst I browsed something on the internet haha!
