Siinä hieman reissunjälkeistä kuvamateriaalia! Kuten nyt selväksi kävi niin kohteeksi valikoitui Venetsia, jota en vielä viime kerralla paljastanut. En ole ennen käynyt mutta voin nyt sanoa että menen ehdottomasti uudestaan! Kenties syys-tai lokakuu on tosin parasta aikaa matkustaa, välttää kesäruuhkat ja tähän vuodenaikaan siellä alkaa jo olla hieman vilpoista. Matka oli aika lyhyt ja sen pääpainona oli nähdä Biennale taidenäyttely, joka järjestettiin nyt 57:ttä kertaa. Siellä meni kutakuinkin kokonainen päivä kun ensin melko suuri osa ajasta meni vesibussien lippujen selvittämiseen, emme saaneetkaan omalla (Guideccan) saarellamme metrolippua aktivoitua, piti ensin päästä jotenkin lätäkön yli pääsaarelle San Marcolle lippua aktivoimaan joten saatiin matkata vähän pummilla ensi alkuun. Kun systeemin oppi tämän vesibussin käyttö oli todella helppoa ja kätevää. Paljon jäi kyllä näkemättä; lauantaina sai aika nopeasti liikkua paikasta A paikkaan B jotta ehti nähdä kaikki must-nähtävyydet, mutta aluieista esim. Rioltan alue josta luin paljon etukäteen jäi kokonaan näkemättä, joten on mitä nähdä sitten seuraavalla visiitillä. Omaa saartamme kiersimme vähän aikaa sunnuntaina ennen kentälle lähtöä, ja lauantai-iltana käytiin Hilton rooftop baarissa drinkeillä.

//Some phone-pictures from our trip to Venice, there you go! As I didn't reveal the destination last time, now it got clear where we travelled. Venice didn't disappoint, this was my first time there but after the trip I can say it was definitely not my last time! Next time I'd do the visit in Sept-Oct though, this time of the year it is quite cold there already and I would still like to avoid the summer crowds. Our trip this time was quite a short visit, the main aim was to experience the 57.th Biennale art exhibit which was so impressive we spent almost a day there + some time in the morning went to figuring out how to activate our water bus ticket, which apparently wasn't possible at the island we stayed at (Guidecca) so had to travel 'without' a ticket to the main island first to be able to use it. But when we learned to use the water bus system it was very convenient and easy. On Saturday, we needed to move quite fast in order to explore the city and its landmarks more and on Sunday we went on a short stroll around Guidecca before it was time to go to the airport. So much was left unseen, but it is a brilliant reason to travel back.
